Issue #28 (7 May 2014)

Happy Spring!

'Tis the season for FRIEZE (and 16 satellite art fairs) in New York. Galleries are in full swing, art fairs in abundance, and spring sales are plentiful at Sotheby's, Christie's, and Phillips.

On your way to the city, stop in the Westport Arts Center Gallery to see SOLOS 2014 juried by Patricia Hickson, the Emily Hall Tremaine Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Wadsworth Atheneum. SOLOS 2014 artists will be speaking about their work during ArtCafe on select Fridays from 10 - 11am. For a full schedule visit www.westportartscenter.org.

Please join us on Tuesday, May 13 at 6pm for Paige Kendig: Note to Self. Westport native and Staples graduate, Paige Kendig is a CBS News producer and will be speaking about her Emmy-nominated series, "Note to Self" where famous people write notes to younger selves. Paige will show and discuss her episode with Chuck Close.

Best wishes and happy reading!
